Donating Wood Samples to Exotic Woods of the World

We are building a long-term physical reference collection of wood species from around the world. Contributions from collectors, woodworkers, and enthusiasts help expand this archive and preserve rare and lesser-known woods.

What We Accept

• Stable, dry material
• Clearly labeled wood samples
• Known species (preferred)
• Unknown species (accepted for identification)

Sample Guidelines

• Include any known details (species, origin, notes)
• Approximate size: 1/2″ x 3″ x 6″ (preferred)
• Clean, sanded surface if possible
